Basic SEO operations

I am post after a long time. Here I would like to list some of the basic SEO operations that everyone can do with a little technical knowledge.
1. Check your domain renewal and try to have it renewed for more than a year which will have a positive impact for your website on search engines.
2. Ensure the use of Title tags, Meta tags(keywords and description) relevant to your web page content. Do not dump too many words in those tags.
3. Have ALT tags for all the images of the website, make it relevant to content.
4. Have text/image links for inner pages rather flash links which will work good as the search engines will see the website as the text browsers. Check your browser with this SEO browser
5. Start a blog for your website if possible as blogging is the best way to have dynamic content on your website which will tell search engines that your site is changed periodically and has to be crawled.
6. Use social bookmarking tools in your weblog that will ensure the reach of your blog post to number of readers and also give rss feed for the blog.
